Maddox Argentum
Appearance
Maddox stands at roughly 4'7" (139.7cm). He has snow white hair, and unusually crimson eyes. He keeps his hair loosely around his face, much like a curtain, and often sports a cruel smirk. He's of a relatively non-athletic build, relying on his Pokemon rather than his own physical capabilities. During school hours he wears the school Uniform in book-standard and handbook specific wearing regulations. He looks often like his uniform was copy-pasted off the brochure onto his person. Additively, he sports one of the uniform permitted cloaks, and a pin that is given to the honor students his age. When outside school hours, Maddox typically sports red clothing. Often it's a red overcoat, white t-shirt, and a pair of designer denim jeans that fit him near perfectly at all times. All of his clothes are made of a fine and expensive material, and he seems to take great care of those things, so as to not ruin them.
Personality
Maddox is, in general, an arrogant, and tempered young boy. He believes himself superior to most people because of his family's lineage as well as great wealth and social standing. Maddox is intelligent, cunning and quick-witted, capable of deducing things and coming up with clever plans based on a small amount of information. However, Maddox is not without his own faults. He is bitter, impatient, deeply troubled, and hot-headed, often letting his temper get the best of him. Additionally, Maddox considers himself a skilled trainer, using Pokemon others might often overlook and winning with them. He lauds his victory over others, a sore winner in victory, and an even sorer loser in defeat. There is nothing gracious or sportsmanlike about him. He's willing to win by any means necessary, though the reason for this is unclear.
Background
Circumstance of Birth I.
Maddox was born to Elizabeth "Lisa" Argentum, and Sir Sterling Octavius Argentum on Summer 19th, 1121. He grew up in the outskirts of Albion Avalon, on the large estate afforded to their family through a longstanding history of wealth and dealings with the royal family. There he grew under the watchful eye of his mother, whom he bonded with closely. However, in the spring of 1128, his mother grew deathly ill. A season passed, and on Summer 18th of the same year, she had passed away. This poor news took a massive toll on both Maddox and Sterling, the latter of whom burying himself in his own business affairs even more deeply- widening an already forming gap between him and his son. Maddox found himself no longer being taken care of by his warm mother, but instead by caretakers doing his father's bidding. Handlers, they soon came to be called, and many of them came and went without a second thought for young Maddox, who only craved his father's attention.
Relocation to Toro II.
Still striving for his father's attention, Maddox soon found himself of use to his father. He was asked to relocate to Toro, where he would have a home with less space, and a live-in Handler, as well as consistent and direct contact with his father. In exchange, Maddox was to complete the gym challenges there, completing one gym a year at minimum. By his 18th Birthday, Maddox was to be capable of challenging the Elite Four and Pokemon League of Toro, as well as expected to graduate with honors in school. He was expected to be the best. Maddox, filled with determination, agreed to this. After all, he was an Argentum, one of the highest breeds of the Avalonian upper class. Others were beneath him, or so he had been taught. Just before his 10th birthday, Maddox was taken to Toro with the first of what would be many different live-in Handlers to care for him, allowing him one year to settle in before he was expected to begin on his gym challenge, and obtain his first badge. Armed with his Totodile given to him by his Father, he was assured that as he progressed throuhgh the gyms, he would be offered more Pokemon if needed. Though, it was impressed upon Maddox that above all: Victory of all of his assigned tasks was more important than anything, and to achieve it by any means necessary.
